Steve Pritchett

Having spent nearly a decade keeping the nation safe in his role as a Royal Marine, Steve made the transition into civilian life and retrained as an IT engineer. Seven years on and although he knew the working of a computer network inside out, his own world was turned upside down as he was sold totally the wrong mortgage product. Feeling he could do better himself, he changed direction with his career. After gaining a Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice, awarded by The London Institute of Banking & Finance he made his first step into financial services spending three years as a consultant for a national estate agent working in a busy city centre branch, where he gained a good understanding of the industry. He was then approached by a local firm of independent mortgage brokers, where he spent the next 11 years. Steve continued to learn and increase his knowledge of an ever-changing industry. As time passed, he realised that he’d always wanted to work for himself so, with his friend and colleague James Akers, they set up Akers Pritchett and they are both very excited about the future.
Steve loves spending time with his wife Rebecca and his 11-year-old son. He’s a real people person and enjoys socialising and keeping fit. He recently started boxing and is looking forward to his first white-collar bout next year. Watch out! Whatever Steve does he’ll fight your corner!
